After nearly 25 years with the company, FORMA Construction promoted Keith Michel to the role of vice president.
In his new capacity, he will oversee several areas critical to FORMA Construction’s operations.
He will lead FORMA’s senior project managers, safety program, and outreach & inclusion efforts, enhancing organizational processes and fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Michel is a LEED Accredited Professional, Associate DBIA, and is a current member of the Capital Projects Advisory Review Board.

Earth Engineers RMA Companies announced the acquisition of Earth Engineers, a firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and special inspection services.
Based in Camas, with additional offices in Springfield, Oregon, and Aiea, Hawaii, Earth Engineers broadens RMA’s footprint in the Pacific Northwest and adds additional expertise in engineering and materials testing, supporting RMA’s strategy to build a national platform for technology-driven testing, inspection, and certification services.
Earth Engineers is RMA’s second acquisition in the Portland market following Northwest Geotech.
RMA now operates six professional offices and laboratories in the Pacific Northwest in Bellingham, Seattle, Tacoma, Vancouver, Portland and Eugene.
Womble Bond Dickinson acted as legal adviser to RMA, and Tonkon Torp served as legal advisors to Earth Engineers.
RMA provides professional services in materials testing, inspection, certification, environmental and geotechnical consulting, and related services for public and private infrastructure across government and commercial markets.
Founded in 1962, RMA is headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and is a portfolio company of OceanSound Partners.
Earth Engineers was founded in 2006 by Troy Hull.

Deacon Construction named Jessica Wiebe as division manager – special projects in its Seattle office.
Wiebe has 24 years of industry experience leading project teams through complex and technical details.

Harnoor Kaur graduated with an A.A. degree from Green River College in June of 2021.
Currently, she studies civil engineering at the University of Washington, and is expected to graduate in June 2025.
She previously worked as a construction management intern at the Port of Seattle, an assistant to project manager at Royal Landscaping and Construction, and a market research interviewer for Pacific Market Research.
Harold Nguyen is studying civil engineering and mathematics at Seattle University and is expected to graduate in June 2025.
Helene Babalis is studying civil engineering at Seattle University and is expected to graduate in June 2025.
She is involved in the Engineers for a Sustainable World & ASCE Club.
Kari Lau graduated with her A.S. degree from Highline College in June 2023.
She is expected to graduate with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington in June 2025.
This will be Malik Said’s second summer interning at Barghausen Consulting Engineers.
He is currently studying civil engineering at Montana Technological University and is expected to graduate with a B.S. degree in 2025.
Nic Chantorn is studying civil engineering at Seattle University.
His previous positions include a part-time AutoCAD drafter, field technician for a residential stormwater design firm, and a co-captain for the ASCE Steel Bridge Competition.
Nicole Dikmen is studying civil engineering at the University of Washington.
Previously, she worked as a construction manager assistant for Dikmen Development.
Samuel Lopez graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Civil Engineering in June.
Zachary Camirand obtained is A.A. degree at Pierce College in 2022.
He is currently working toward a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Saint Martin’s University.
Barghausen also hired Russell Gaul as a summer engineering intern at their Richland location.
Gaul graduated from Gonzaga University with a B.S. in Biochemistry in 2011.
Now, he is studying civil engineering at Washington State University and is expected to graduate in May 2025.
He previously worked as an emergency medical technician for Lifeline Ambulance, an emergency department technician for Providence Holy Family Hospital, and a research associate for Cold Climate Housing Research Center.

Seattle Art Museum Stulen
The Board of Trustees of the Seattle Art Museum (SAM) announced that Scott Stulen has been named the museum’s new Illsley Ball Nordstrom director and CEO following an international search.
Stulen will begin his new role on August 26, 2024.
Since August 2016, Stulen has served as president and CEO of the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Prior to joining the Philbrook, Stulen was the inaugural curator of audience experiences and performance at the Indianapolis Museum of Art from 2014 to 2016.
From 2008-2014, he was project director of mnartists.org, a critical arts writing platform at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Stulen has a MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Minnesota, and BFA in Sculpture from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
He also serves on several national, state and local boards.
In his role at SAM, comprising the downtown Seattle Art Museum, the Seattle Asian Art Museum in Volunteer Park, and the Olympic Sculpture Park on the Seattle waterfront, Stulen will oversee the institution’s artistic and educational programs and manage a staff of more than 300 people.
Stulen assumes the leadership role open since the departure of Amada Cruz in October 2023.
Kimerly Rorschach, SAM director and CEO from 2012-2019, returned to the museum as interim director and CEO in September 2023 and continued to serve as an advisor once her tenure ended in April 2024.
Jeff Draeger, the museum’s COO, has led the museum as interim director and CEO since April 2024.
Vimly Benefit Solutions Carpinelli
Seattle-based Vimly Benefit Solutions named Joseph Carpinelli chief financial officer.
Carpinelli has experience in the life sciences, healthcare, and technology sectors.
He also has extensive M&A experience.
Vimly recently secured a significant strategic investment from Rubicon Technology Partners, a private equity firm based in Boulder, Colorado, that is dedicated to investing in and growing software companies.
This investment is expected to accelerate growth for go-to-market expansion, product innovation, and the pursuit of acquisition opportunities.. Founded in 1993, Vimly is a benefits administration firm serving carriers, third-party administrators, general agents, brokers, employers, and employees.
Frazier Healthcare Partners
Frazier Healthcare Partners, a Seattle-based, healthcare-focused investment firm, announced that it has completed its acquisition of BioMatrix Holdings.
BioMatrix, headquartered in Plantation, Florida, is a national provider of home-based infusion services with clinical expertise in neurological diseases, immunology deficiencies and transplants, as well as blood disorders.
BioMatrix serves a diversified base of patients with over 2,500 physician-referral relationships across all 50 states.
Frazier is partnering with Ted and Kathee Kramm, two industry executives in the home infusion market, to lead BioMatrix.
Ted and Kathee began their careers as clinicians (pharmacist and nurse, respectively) and have scaled multiple infusion pharmacy businesses.
Effective as of the closing, Ted will serve as chief executive officer and Kathee as president of BioMatrix.
Cantor Fitzgerald and Goodwin Procter served as Frazier’s financial advisor and legal counsel.
